How to receive ‘contact-free advice’ from your GP

We understand that with the current COVID-19 situation comes confusion over whether you should see your GP for various medical issues. We would like to reassure our patients that we are open, and here to support you with all medical care, and not just those relating to COVID-19.

To make ourselves more accessible to patients during the current circumstances, we have invested in various technological solutions so that patients can contact their GP and receive advice, without coming into the practice.

Here are some of the ways in which we are treating patients at this time.

*Please note that following your contact-free consultation, if necessary, we may still ask you to come into the practice for an in-person appointment.

Our online e-consultation service allows patients to confidentially submit their health queries to one of our GP’s online. We aim to respond to your query by the next working day, however, with the current situation these timescales may vary.

To submit an e-consultation query, simply visit the following page on our website and follow the instructions >

Over the phone consultations

For those who prefer to speak to their GP directly, we are providing over the phone advice for our patients. To speak to someone over the phone, please call our practice number 01685 385339.

Via text or video messaging

We are now offering a text messaging and video messaging service via AccuRx – a patient communication platform. For those with a relatively up-to-date smartphone, this can be a really useful way of talking to your GP. To use our text and video messaging service, you must have the following:

  • A relatively modern iPhone or Android.
  • Safari or Google Chrome downloaded on your phone, and for this to be your default browser (for video consultations to work).
  • We must also have your correct mobile number recorded.

For more information about our text or video messaging service, please call our practice number 01685 385339. Please note, that video messaging is only available when recommended by your GP, following a phone consultation.
