Who is eligible for home visits?
Our house call service is reserved for genuinely housebound patients who are unable to leave their home for any reason. Unfortunately, lack of transport does not meet the criteria for a requested home visit. Whilst we are proud to offer this service to those in need, it can be draining on resources. One single requested home visit takes the same time as 5 patient visits at the surgery.
How to check whether I am eligible
All home visits are done at the doctors’ discretion. Patients may be able to receive telephone advice if this is appropriate.
How to request a home visit
All home visit requests must be made by 11am. After this time, we cannot guarantee that you will be visited that day. Thank you for your understanding.
